The film 300 is based on a graphic novel by Frank Miller which is based loosely on the historical Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC. A small group of Greeks with 300 Spartans as the core of the Greek fighting force held off the Persians at the pass of Thermopylae. The tank team gives the low down on the film's historical truth and fiction. They take a stab at the film's symbolism and ponder if the film is simply war propaganda.
